The gradual orientation of the Company GEOtest, a.s. to foreign markets began early in the new millennium. First, GEOtest, a.s. was engaged in the Czech missions of recovery after war conflicts in Iraq and in the former Yugoslavia and after a destructive tsunami in Indonesia and Sri Lanka. Then, another step was the involvement of the Company GEOtest in the official Foreign Development Cooperation of the Czech Republic through the projects of the Czech Development Agency in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Albania, Mongolia, Georgia, Ethiopia and Zambia. In Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Mongolia, also daughter companies have been established.

Within the projects in less developed countries, the Company GEOtest, a.s. also managed to penetrate brand new fields and areas which had not formed the backbone activity of the Company. The areas concerned are agriculture, production of electricity and energy from renewable resources, rural development, food security, poverty alleviation, migration, education, health, social development and other areas of specialisation, which always place an emphasis on cross-cutting issues, such as human rights good governance, gender equality, and others.

Technical assistance

A stable client of the Company in the area of technical assistance projects is the Czech Development Agency. The gradual development of foreign activities has led to the fact that contracts could be won from other renown contracting authorities, such as the European Investment Bank (EIB), the World Bank (WB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA), the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), DIAKONIE, and many others.
