Laboratory tests are carried out on rock samples prepared by cutting from drill core or from boulder samples (on cylinders or cubes), or on smaller rock fragments. Tests of bulk density, strength and deformation characteristics are performed in the dry or saturated state, or with moisture content in the state delivered by a client.
Based on the results of strength tests, classification of rock is performed according to ČSN 73 6133, including a brief description according to ČSN EN ISO 14689-1. The results are presented in the form of a protocol of tests, including a brief description of the methodology of their making.
